Come to the FIRST//OUTPOST next week!

OUTPOST will be a series of dining events fueled by the palpable talents of Liz Cowan of Three Little Figs and her extraordinary network of local resources. In addition, each OUTPOST will enlist talented chefs from across America to contribute to and celebrate our territory.

This OUTPOST will be called FIRST and will feature a mouthwatering 7 course menu celebrating Spring and including regional provisions co-authored and styled by the infamous Chef Arnold Myint. Arnold comes to us from Nashville via Los Angeles and brings with him a remarkable background as restaurant owner, product developer, event producer and Food Network personality.

OUTPOST partner farms, dairies and other providers of bounty to be announced closer to the event.

Pair your FIRST menu with delicious wines by an exclusive local vineyard or enjoy non-alcoholic specialty drinks concocted by our master chefs.

FIRST will take place at Three Little Figs in the Parkrose area of NE Portland. The unique workshop will seat 24 in an intimate experience directly connected to the kitchen and provide guests an opportunity to enjoy the process first hand. There is parking adjacent to the building for those that don't select UBER as their mode of transportation.

This OUTPOST will be called HOME and will feature an elevated family style supper crafted with the influence of southern comfort cooking. Each dish will not only visually stun but pack a powerful punch of southern flavors, sourced locally. Supper will be co-authored and styled by the infamous Chef Arnold Myint. Arnold comes to us from Nashville via Los Angeles and brings with him a remarkable background as restaurant owner, product developer, event producer and Food Network personality.

HOME partner farms, dairies and other providers of bounty to be announced closer to the event.

Your HOME supper will accompany a selection of both spiked and non-spiked adult beverages celebrating blue skies and safe rides.

HOME will take place at Three Little Figs in the Parkrose area of NE Portland. The unique workshop will seat 36 in an intimate experience directly connected to the kitchen and provide guests an opportunity to enjoy the process first hand. There is parking adjacent to the building for those that don't select UBER as their mode of transportation.

HOME is $55 per person (not incl gratuity)

Sparkling Nectarine April 23 2015

We are happy to announce that our newest flavor is now available!

 

The perfect companion for any occasion, our Sparkling Nectarine carries a light, floral flavor with bubbly crispness. Salmon pink in color, this jam will brighten up any picnic basket or add a little sunshine to your morning fare. We use plump organic nectarines with bubbly prosecco and Washington state Riesling. The addition of pink peppercorns and fresh basil creates the aroma of a fruit orchard on a breezy late summer day.

This jam makes a perfect companion for a boozy brunch with powder sugared french toast, or paired with brie on a fluffy croissant. A dollop with rice wine vinegar will create a sparkling dressing for a baby greens salad with candied pecans, and consider mixing into a bubbly champagne cocktail.

And stay tuned, as we have more summer flavors simmering away in our kitchen that we hope will delight the epicures and gourmands looking for the perfect new warm weather treats.

 


Get Ready To Feast! September 15 2014

Here at Three Little Figs, we are gearing up for this year's Feast Portland! Feast is the Northwest's flagship food festival, hosted by Bon Appétit as a celebration of Oregon's bounty. Although it is only in it's third year running, Feast is a well oiled machine that has already gained a fair amount of national attention. Join us at "the best food festival in the country" this Friday and Saturday so that you may experience the magic of Portland's culinary creativity. We will be serving snacks from noon to 5pm at Pioneer Courthouse Square during Feast's Oregon Bounty Grand Tasting on Friday and Saturday. Come munch your way to our booth and taste our small batch goodness among the stars at Feast.

Revving Up May 20 2014

It’s about that time here at Three Little Figs! The time of year where the sun starts to shine on the ripening fruit and the sweet and savory smells of jam waft through our Northeast Portland neighborhood. We are revving up to start cooking again after a short hiatus in which we were working on kitchen upgrades, recipe development, and of course - new dance moves.

Over the past few months we have been visiting with our farmers and planning ahead for this year’s jam line. As a company that sources nearly all of its ingredients from local and organic family farms we tend to be dependent on the unpredictable seasons, temperatures, and rainfall of our Pacific Northwest home. Although it is sometimes uncertain when the season will come to full swing we are excited to say that the time is finally here!

So if you find yourself stumbling through Northeast Portland this summer, following your nose to a heavenly aroma of the sweet and savory; you may be just around the corner from where we turn ripe fruit into small batch goodness.


It's National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Month!! April 01 2014

April is finally here, which means it’s time to fire up those griddles, skillets or whatever your weapon of choice is for making that perfect grilled cheese sandwich in celebration of National Grilled Cheese month. We especially love this month here at Three Little Figs because it’s a chance to make some tasty grilled cheese sandwiches using our jams (in the name of work). We have nine flavors which means we’ll be creating nine different grilled cheese sandwiches spanning the month of April and sharing them with you.
